Dickey Connection

At a recent interview Dickey brushed aside suggestions that he was only ever in the paint business because it gave him a chance to gloss over thing and to do a little stripping. Indeed he claims it has made him the man he is which comes as no small surprise to some of us who know him as Dickey is known in other circles as mother.
With his little brush on the T mats Dickey makes sure that all the dirt and grit is brushed away so that his fellow golfers do not get their clean clubs dirty and, if you are good he will give you a little chocolate bar on the 10th tee. In this way Dickey looks after us.

Dickey is a fine golfer with a handicap of 14. On his day he is very hard to beat, the problem is in knowing which day of the week is his. He is above all else a generous chap and good company either at BGC or on away days. He never lets the conversation flag and is always ready with good advice. Dickey’s playing partners regularly get the benefit of it and he is often heard saying “grip the club properly, point it towards the green and hit the ball”.

A fine fellow and a welcome addition to the Goffers, we look forward to many more rounds with Dickey.
