Captain Hook
Captain Hook joined the golfing craze many years ago fitting it in around a very responsible position. Now having taken early retirement we all expected his handicap to drop like a stone. No such luck – he still commands a healthy number to play off and regularly takes the money from us.
Now the proud owner of a King Cobra driver we only see Captain Hook on the greens – he hits some good woods but the trouble is that most of them have leaves on.
He still remains a steady influence on us all. One look over his glasses and you know you’ve done wrong. He will always offer you advice and words of wisdom during your 18 holes together – I can remember being told by the Hook that “a golf ball is a golf ball no matter how you putt it”.
But to close my introduction, Captain Hook is always a pleasure to be with, and I leave you with another of his little thoughts – nothing counts in golf like your opponent!
